Frequently asked questions

What is the average Rice Purity score?

No source we trust publishes a current average. The numbers quoted online are guesses. We will publish real, anonymous averages from this site once enough people have taken the test.

What does a score of 84 mean?

A score of 84 is what you get after ticking all 16 items of the first part (dating, kissing, flirting) and nothing else: "Some stories" in our ranges.

Which items lower the score the most?

None: every item is worth exactly one point. The last part, sexual intercourse, weighs the most only because it is the longest: 34 items out of 100.

Can your score go back up?

No. The test asks what you have ever done, so a score only stays the same or goes down over time.
